RespiQ & Balthazar awarded MIT R&D grant for AIMSense project

We have great news: RespiQ and Balthazar are joining forces on a new project, AIMSense, supported by the Dutch MIT R&D Collaboration -AI Grant!

If you've ever worked with high-precision gas sensors, you know the usual trade-offs: portable tech often lacks accuracy, while lab-grade equipment is too bulky for everyday use. AIMSense pairs RespiQ's existing machine learning and data infrastructure with Balthazar's platform, accelerating the research and helping us optimise sensor performance and spot molecular patterns much faster in our photonic sensing hardware.

It’s a big step forward for our team as we work toward portable, non-invasive gas sensing, starting with health applications in respiratory and gut health, but with huge potential for other applications down the road.

A special thanks to the team at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) for backing this effort through the MIT R&D AI Scheme, and to everyone at RespiQ and Balthazar Labs who helped bring this collaboration together.

More updates coming soon! πŸš€
